circa 1860, with London proved re-browned 30in. barrels, the top-rib signed 'G.H. DAW 57 THREADNEEDLE STREET LONDON', bead fore-sight, engraved breech-blocks, fully engraved top-tang with shallow sighting groove, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'G.H. DAW', scroll engraved hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture including scroll engraved lower tang, trigger guard bow and finial and complete with its brass mounted original ebony ramrod, together with its maker's green baize lined walnut storage case and including a period shot and powder flask, a number of original Eley wire cartridges (with period advertisement), an oil bottle, shot bandolier with renewed leather, a cap tin, measure and nipple-key and accompanied by an 1868 dated letter from the original owner
